SafarFill Privacy Policy

SafarFill is a Chrome extension by Sahl Labs for travel agents. It reads passport and iqama images and fills passenger forms on travel agent portals (Akbar Travels, Alhind, Air Sial) and the Muqeem visa check. It only fills forms; the agent checks and books.

What SafarFill handles

Passport and iqama images. The agent adds images or PDFs. They are read on the agent's computer. The text of the passport's two machine-readable lines at the bottom of the page (name, passport number, nationality, dates) is sent to the SafarFill server, which turns it into form fields and sends them back.

Read with AI. Only when the agent presses "Read with AI" (or switches on automatic AI reading in Settings), the image is sent to the SafarFill server and passed to our AI provider, Anthropic, to read the details. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.

Not stored. The SafarFill server does not store passport or iqama images, or the passport details it reads. They are used only to answer that request.

Licence. To check the licence, SafarFill sends the licence key, a random computer ID created when SafarFill is installed, and the SafarFill version. The server keeps per-licence counts (pages read, forms filled, AI reads), the portal name when a form is filled, and when each computer was last seen. These contain no passenger details.

On the computer. The passenger list is kept in Chrome's memory and is deleted when Chrome closes or "Clear all" is pressed. Images are kept in the extension's storage on the computer and deleted by "Clear all". The licence key, the agency email entered in Settings and the settings themselves are kept on the computer.

Portal pages. SafarFill reads portal pages only to find the passenger form and the airline, and fills the form. Nothing from portal pages is sent to the SafarFill server except the portal's name when a form is filled.

What SafarFill does not do

• It does not sell or share data with anyone, except Anthropic for AI reads as described above.
• It has no advertising and no analytics or tracking.
• It does not use data for anything other than reading documents and filling forms.
• It never books, pays or submits a form.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes network data such as IP addresses to deliver requests to the SafarFill server.
